Barcelona City Park

This city park has an interesting history. The buildings in it were designed by Antoni Gaudi (1852-1926), an architect who believed that straight lines were unnatural and wrong. The park was originally planned as a suburb of homes designed by Gaudi, but only two houses were ever completed -- Gaudi spent years designing this entrance and the fountains, and the project became prohibitively expensive.
